About Carla Zingariello
Hello my name is Carla Zingariello, DO, and I work as a pediatric neurologist and joined the faculty of the University of Florida in 2018. I am board-certified in neurology and neuromuscular medicine, with additional training in electromyography, or EMG. I received my medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Following pediatric residency training at Inova Children’s Hospital in Virginia, I completed a Child Neurology residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by a neuromuscular fellowship at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
I have a special interest in neuromuscular disorders affecting children and adolescents, including muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, congenital myopathies, myotonia congenita, myasthenia gravis, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
I am also a member of the Child Neurology Society (CNS), the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM).
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
