About Carla Zingariello
Carla Zingariello, DO, is a pediatric neurologist who joined the faculty of the University of Florida in 2018. She is board-certified in neurology and neuromuscular medicine, with additional training in electromyography, or EMG. Dr. Zingariello received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Following pediatric residency training at Inova Children’s Hospital in Virginia, she completed a Child Neurology residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by a neuromuscular fellowship at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Zingariello has a special interest in neuromuscular disorders affecting children and adolescents, including muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, myasthenia gravis, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.
Dr. Zingariello is a member of the Child Neurology Society (CNS), the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM).
When she is not working, Dr. Zingariello enjoys yoga, the Arts, hiking and traveling.
